Christmas Goodies 2013

Here are a few of my favorite things I got over the holidays this year. I never really ask for anything because I like to buy gifts for my family and friends and just have them surprise me with their gifts for me.

My grandma is always really sweet and gives the cutest gifts from Avon which she still works for! I always put down a bunch of things that I like leading up to the holidays yet she has last say in which items she gives me. This year I got a cute pajama set with Hello Kitty on them, a mascara set that came with three mascaras and a eye make up remover as well as two really pretty head bands.

Both of my brothers really surprised me this year and I love both gifts so much! My brother Josh gave me this clutch wallet from the store he just finished working at. It is a small envelope style wallet when you open it you have a card organization with a small pouch at the back to fit money. I like that there is another zip pocket at the back where coins can fit comfortably.

My other brother Nick gave me these amazing head phones. They are basically made especially for women that work out, I couldn't of asked for anything better. I always break or loose headphones that I use for the gym so these being a bright blue and having their own carry pouch I shouldn't be able to loose these ones. They fit into my ears perfectly and are super comfortable, the connecting piece is also a way to adjust the volume.

My parents got me a combination of things including new work out shoes and a nice top that has a built in work out bra. A beautiful lace detailed cream colored shirt , my first peter pan collared shirt! They never usually include gift cards but this one was different since we all own either an ipad or an ipod touch.  

My boyfriend got me lots of candies, the owl candle and the super cool socks as well as 100$ towards my next tattoo  :) The ipad cover I got from my parents and I think my step dad did the shopping on this one and I love it.

My parents also got me a new winter jacket which I am obsessed with! It is a very different color and not like anything I have owned before, this is from Buffalo and is super warm and cozy.

As was mentioned with the guy's gift guide I think that if you can't think of one gift then a stocking full of the little things is always a great option.

These are super comfy and there are a bunch of different designs, there are a lot of different ones to choose from and would suit any girl that enjoys lounging around in comfy clothes on a day off.

 As I've mentioned before, this brand is amazing and gifted to the right person. These are always a deal when you buy them in a gift pack. They are super comfy and a nice treat since they are on the pricey side but they are totally worth it.

For the girl who always has her nails done and is into switching up colors then these sets that Butter London comes out with. I think these two complement each other and are great for the holidays.

MARC JACOBS 'Honey' Gift set 94.48$ 

This can be tricky if you don't really know the person but these are always great to receive since they always come with extras when you purchase the gift sets. This is Marc Jacobs new sent I believe so I am sure whomever you give it to will be happy to add this scent to their collection.

Or if you know a brand that she likes specifically for handbags, I think this one any girl will love because it is the perfect size and has a great classic look.

This is something that you can't really go wrong with, unless the girl you are buying for doesn't have her ears pierced.  I fell like you can't really go wrong with small earrings whereas with a bracelet or necklace there is a higher chance that you didn't make the right choice for their personal preferences.

Holiday Gift Guide for him 2013

A little late! But here are some ideas as to what to get any of the guys you are shopping for this holiday season :)
If these are too pricey then I always go for a gift card, a nice sweater or a combination of the little things I know they enjoy and put them together I always think that is a cute idea.

Have a gamer to buy for?
As my boyfriend has said over a million times this month, this is the perfect gift for a guy if they are into gaming consoles, I have to admit it looks pretty cool.

I like that it comes with a travel bag because this is something that not all guys own so it kinda makes this gift a two in one.

Warm wear!
Gloves, hats, scarves. These are all things that guys don't like buying for themselves, well most of them anyway.

These are great cause they can use their touch screen phones without having to remove them.

Prints are always more fun and in my experience most guys will wear festive hats around the holidays so don't be shy to give them something bold instead of a plain black hat.

 

Same idea as the hat, make it interesting and not just a solid color.

Forever 21 Haul +Black friday

Here are some things that I picked up online and managed to snag a few items that still had the Black Friday sale on them. Enjoy ! :)

 

These comfy sleep boxers where the first things I put in my cart, they have a bunch of coffee related sayings all over them. I needed a warmer pair! These where 9.80$.

 

I basically stocked up on some basics since everything was so inexpensive!

The black leggings where only 3.80$ I get them in a medium so that they are more opaque on the legs. I also got the burgundy tank top for 1.80$ these are great for layering.

Then I picked out a comfy white knit hat for myself (4$) and one for the boyfriend (4$).

OH! I also got a head wrap (those small knit ones) to wear when I have my hair up and I want to be extra warm.

 

Big chunky infinity scarf , this one is navy and I got it for 4$! I also got a fun pair of leggings since they where so cheap I believe the color description for these ones is "Wine".

This shirt is the main reason why I placed this order, I am simply in love !

 

I died when I saw the back of this shirt. I love that it is not cut any lower so that you can wear it with leggings no problem and not have to worry if people can see your bum or not. I love being able to show off this tattoo because of the placement nothing really can so when I find pieces like this I just neeeeeed them!

 This floral skater style dress is super cute and I managed to get it for only 8$ ! Going to wear this with leggings or tights, it is actually a good thick material so I think I can get away wearing it in the winter when layered up in the right way!

Most loved hair items

 

Honestly. I never cared much about hair elastics ever until about a year ago. Quality really can change so much. I used to blow-dry, straighten, and style my hair down all the time every day because I couldn't be bothered to do anything else.

I now own so many fun easy clips and hair ties and my hair thanks me so much for it. 

The dark navy hair tie is one of those weird fabric ones which are secretly amazing. You can leave them on you're wrist all day long and not even notice because they wont cut of any circulation or leave any marks at all, even when you put them in you're, no hair bumps for when you take them out!

The other two are just really soft and good quality ones , very stretchy but still keep their shape after lots of uses. I would highly recommend investing in good quality hair accessory's, seriously though!  

 

 

This guy I use mainly when I just do not want to do anything with my hair, I don't want to be bothered by it and I don't want to have to worry about it at all during the day. It keeps all my hair in place all day , even when I work out. 

  

This guy is just magic. I have a friend who can tie all her hair (which is down to about her bum) up on top of her head in the nicest bun with JUST this clip. It does wonders. I twist my hair around and make a bun out of it and these three little prongs keep it all in place. I still need to learn the master technique my friend has but I am progressing .

 

I was really surprised with this product. I was looking for something that just gave my hair more life , shine, and feel good to it. I looked this up and listened to a bunch of different reviews online before purchasing it. With the price which is around 23$ CAN I was kinda worried that I was investing in nothing. I LOVE IT. There is nothing negative to say about this stuff, it does exactly what I was looking for . I've even made my girl friends try it whenever I have it on me.

 

I have talked about this stuff before and it is such an amazing conditioning product that I tend to use at least once a week.

The combination of all these things has made my hair grow longer faster and just looks nicer overall!

Fall essential # two

Comfy fall/winter outfits

So I have been in exams the last few weeks and have not been able to think too much about what I am going to be wearing while attending finals but here are what I resort to when I am in such a rush!

All I think about is cute, comfortable, warm!

I layer these with scarves, throw on a jacket, pair them with my Doc's and I am good to go.

Lush haul/reveiw

Initially I walked into Lush to buy myself a little treat for scoring really high on an exam that I thought I failed , yet this happened!  As I was talking to one of the workers she suggested why not treat myself to some new skin care items? Since I had just told her about school stress she said that she had a great line up of products that I should give a try. I had never tried ANY of these before haha

 Let the good times roll facial cleanser.

When I first saw this I was very skeptical because I am used to "regular" cleansers ha ha , this stuff is so weird looking yet it smells amazing like candy! What I love about it is that the ingredients are so much more beneficial for your skin than you're average cleanser. It consists of a bunch of corn and the scrubbing pieces are cinnamon! This is a perfect wake me up in the morning :)

Breath of fresh air toner water.

Packed full of naturally great ingredients for you're skin and is so perfect if you are someone like me who is running around all day with school and work and everything in between. This has natural sea salt and aloe which works wonders on tired skin, this is also good in the colder months if you have dry skin. Can be applied whenever , throughout the day or what I do is I spray my whole face with it before I apply moisturizer.

Grease Lightning Tea tree cleanser

This is something I decided on myself just because I had heard so many good things about it and I just thought I might as well since I was getting a bunch of face goodies anyways it would be wrong not to try it out! I tried it the first night that I got it and applied it to my trouble areas where I had been breaking out due to stress, and like magic the next day I kid you not , they where diminished 50%. I am definitely going to continue on with this product for ummm life?

Fresh face mask

I wanted to try the cupcake mask yet was advised that because my skin isn't that cray cray I don't need something that intense so I got this guy. Smells like grass? haha I think its fun that these need to be kept in the fridge because it encourages me to use it up before it expires therefore I keep up with a good upkeep with my skins needs. I then got these three guys :

Toner tabs  (Dream steam)

These are fun to do! Boil water and add it to a big bowl, plop one of these guys in and hid under a towel; you now have you're own private sauna for you're face! The chucks in the tabs are rose pieces , these make a weird liquid and you could use it as a toner spray but I am kinda lazy for that. After this I apply the Fresh face mask since it opens up pores on you're skin for a deep clean :)

So, I have defiantly been opened up to a whole new world of skin care and I think I am in love! If you are looking for simple easy routine that you're skin will benefit a bunch from then give any or all of these products a try.

One of my best friends gave me this amazing necklace from H&M, I'm not going to research it just because that'd be weird.It is totally my style and a pair it up whenever I am just wearing a plain top or just an overall plain outfit , this picks it up and I haven't worn it without getting a complement on it yet!

 

My oh so wonderful bf got me these bad boys. When I was in the store the sales lady suggested I try the men's sizing because I have huge feet (size 10) and on top of that I have bunions. I fit perfectly into a men's size 8 and they are much more wider so that my weird feet have all the room they need and are perfect for my orthopedics. I switched out the basic laces they come with for these bigger material burgundy ones I also got a pair that look more like laces but are a brown/burgundy color.

To treat myself I purchased this top by Michael stars from the store I work at. It doesn't show up very well but it is black and the bottom is a hi-low so it covers you're bum if you wanted to wear it with leggings. This legit feels like you aren't even wearing a shirt is how comfortable it is. The sleeves are my favorite part because they are closely knit yet and when you stretch them out you can see right through them and this material goes up along the sides of the shirt as well. Makes a basic top super comfortable and sort of sexy at the same time ;)
