Work out gear !

Hey guys! and girls...
Here is my workout gear that I wear whenever I hit up the gym! Aka every day except Thursdays and Sundays ! I do weight training and I was always very scared to try this myself but I would never go back and change anything because I absolutely love it!
Personally these bras work best for me. The straps never dig into my skin and they have just the right about of support for weight training, for other higher endurance exercises I probably would not recommend these ones. These are all by lululemon, I also have one that's by Champion that has a bit more support for the days I do more cardio.

For tops I either go for a built in bra type or just a loose tee-shirt or tank-top over top of one of my sports bras.I usually go for bright and fun colors and shirts with fun things on them because I enjoy my time at the gym and I never take it too seriously (only some times) ;).

These are my cropped bottoms , the neon orange ones are from lululemon and just make everyone in my gym smile because they look so crazy! The ones on the right of them are from Nike and I love that the band around the waist goes down and you can see the "Just do it." on the back. The other pair are again from lululemon and come passed my knee down my calves just a bit. They are super comfortable and have many secret zippered compartments.

For longer pants I really go for lululemon brand because of the way that they fit my body. Especially if you bend over and don't want any one seeing through leggings ! No one is going to see through these so you can workout without worrying about that !The first ones are meant for running or jogging because they are like "slushy" material , they have zipped pockets at the front and are tight fitting from thigh down which is nice. The pair in the middle are your average pair of lululemon pant, they have a low rise band at the top and are straight legged. The last pair have a cute purple band at the top, they aren't as tight as the other two and have zippered pockets at the front and one secretly in the back.

I really like wearing this lululemon hoodie when I am doing a legs day so that when I do body squats with the bar it doesn't irritate my skin around my neck. It is really comfortable when you don't feel like wearing anything revealing but still gives you a nice shape. The shirt beside it is really amazing! The part with the pattern fits well like a sports bra and then the bottom white mesh part is really lightweight and kinda see-through. And on one of the sides there is a small string with a metal clasp to make it more fitting if you wanted to.

I have already lost so many pairs of gloves! I really like my Nike ones and prefer them if I am going to be using heavier weights just because I am used to them over my new Go Fit ones. When I first started training I didn't need gloves because I wasn't taking weights that where that heavy but now my skin tears and calluses start to form if I forget them for a day!
For shoes I have these Nikes as well as another pair that I keep at my boyfriends.

Lush haul!

Lush always brightens up my day! Here is what I picked up recently! I am kinda sad that they didn't have their Easter collection out yet but I hope it comes out soon!  HA! Right as I go onto the site they have it up for online shopping :D

I really liked the toner tabs I got last time so I picked up another rosebud one and decided to try out the tea tree ones this time.

BATH BOMBS!
I am not sure if this is space girl , I want to say no but then I don't know what it is called ! (help?) Anyways is smells really nice and fresh. There are some glitters on top and I am quite curious as to how my bath is going to look after I drop this guy into it!

Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb
This I think is meant for kids but I really want to try it before getting into bed because it has lavender and chamomile in it!

Butterball
This is nice and vanilla smelling ! I got this mainly because my skin is getting fed up with the weather and is getting really dry! It is supposed to moisturize and sooth irritated dry skin so I am hoping for the best!

The Honeymooner (Gift from BF) Massage bar
This smells amazing ! Melts into your skin and is so good to use for massages from or to your special someone.

Two samples of body creams (Dream Cream and Coco lotion)
I have never purchased a body cream yet or really tried them out so I am excited to give these a try!

Ocean Salt cleanser
I've heard so much good things about this guy so I finally gave it and got a pot! The texture is really different and the smell is of course amazing!

Top 5 foundations

Let's talk about foundations. Here are my top five all time favorites that I can always turn to and not have to worry about. Two are darker shades that match me better during the summer which are the Fit me liquid foundation from Maybelline and Nars,

Right now I am using the Fit me foundation stick almost every day and it kinda gives the effect a BB cream would just without being all liquidy. I mentioned this in more detail in a previous post so I won't go any more into it now.

My other Fit me product is great for the summer. The color selection for this collection is amazing and it also matched up a blush, concealer and a powder in the same shade range. Leaves your skin dewy and natural , no cake looking grossness either!

Nars sheer glow was my first ever high end foundation, I am the shade Fiji and I got it also for when my skin is a tad more tanned. The glow it gives my skin is superbe. I also really like the smell of this, I don't know why!

I sometimes mix my two Revlon foundations together or use them separately depending on my skin.
I cannot rank them in any sort of order because I like them all for different reasons and different seasons ! The only thing is that my photo ready is the only one with a pump, so everything other than this one and the stick make such a mess if I am not careful which is rare.

Emilia Clark a.k.a Khaleesi

I am a full time lover of Game of Thrones and my favorite story line to follow is of the dragon lady herself Kahaleesi. I had never heard of Emilia Clark until her casting into this show and surprise! She is not a blond in real life! Here are some of her outfits that I love and just all around love for Emilia!

Photo cred: Just Jared
Her style is so simple and I love how she pairs a lot of her outfits with the same leather jacket.

She still keeps it simple at events but its not simple in a bad way at all, she is naturally suited for these events therefore not much is needed in terms of getting "Glamed up".

This makes it hard to believe that she is 26 , when I first saw her on the show I thought she was much younger. Such a beautiful woman and great actress!

Product Reveiw; Almay smart shade

This is my first product from Almay , I picked it up at Target because it was on clearance for $5 and I liked that it said it was oil free , had sunscreen and is a tinted moisturizer. So far I really like it, I like that it is made to blend in with your skin tone Ive never tried something like that before.

The application is super easy with the squeeze tube applicator which is super convenient. I got the shade "light 100" and it fits me perfectly.

At first I was scared that I got the wrong color because it comes out pretty much white but it blends into your skin and turns a different color accordingly.

This is after rubbing it in my hand a little , you can see the color change.

This is after I blend it out completely, you don't see anything!

How I "organize" my desk for makeup

Now this may seem very unorganized and a mess to some people but I only have room for a small desk in my bedroom and it doubles as where I do my school work and where I store my makeup. To me this makes sense and is the most organized it has ever been lol
I <3 it.
I got this three tier display from Ikea for about 20$ or less and I have it organized from face makeup at the bottom, eye makeup in the center and hair everything at the top so that it is easy to access and look around at what I have. Right beside this is my laptop which I am typing on atm which is the only area I have for it , and beside my laptop on the other side is a pile of school work and a pen/pencil organizer.
So in the bottom I have face primer, foundation, concealers, lip moisturizers, blushes, face creams at the back that I don't use everyday.
In the middle there are mascaras, eyeliners, eyeshadow, eye primers, eyebrow kits!
And as I said the top has every kind of clip, pin, elastic, headband you could ever need or want hahaha

Now here is where things can get complicated... The top of my desk. In the two spaces at the bottom I keep my glasses, makeup wipes, bioderma, eye make up remover from Avon, extra deodorant and Que cards for school.
Hidden in the kate spade elephant box are treats that I allow myself to if I had a bad day, need something to keep me going with school work, ect. Then there is my brush holder and in front of that are products that I use everyday sometimes more than once a day hence why I like to see them out in the open! On the divider behind those I have stuff that I use bi weekly or every now and again. Oh and a candle holder I converted into a place to hold my fav pieces of jewelry.

All time favorite under eye concealer

You know that you really love a product when it goes from looking like this to what it looks like in the second picture! I heard about this product through youtube and did not expect the results I saw with it! This is the Maybelline Dreamlumi touch highlighting concealer.

This is my first repurchase and it has lasted me from around this time last year till now to buy another because you don't need that much product for it to work. If you are a tried student like myself then you as well will fall in love with this. I look so much more alive after applying this under my eyes it is seriously amazing.

Here is a comparison to my old one which has seen much love, you cannot even see any writing on the packaging anymore haha. This retails for $12-$13 yet it lasts forever so I think it is a good price point.

It is just about used up, I think I have a week and a bit left but I wanted to stock up on a backup because I am not 100% sure as to when this guy will completely run out. That is another thing, I have had it for almost a year and it is the same consistency, so drying out whatsoever.

I love the applicator brush, it is so delicate and soft which is nice when applying to such a sensitive area of your face.  My shade is the lightest, "Ivory".

Gym Diaries Post #3

What do you do when you don't have time or access to your gym? This is what I have been dealing with this week, I am at my parents place and have been sick and about two hours away from the gym I call home. Nonetheless I still want to keep up with working out. I find that these at home friendly work outs that take no time and are super easy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkKCVCZe474

This is a series of really easy Ab work outs that I really like following and they only take 8 minutes of your time.

I also try to do 200 body squats every other day, along with lifting smaller weights as I would in a normal gym day. My brother has a set here that I use and I find this way I can maintain strength while being out of the gym and feel not as bad when I get back into the routine.

Pictures for comparisons will be in the next gym diaries !!! xoxoxox

Product Reveiw; Mayebelline Fit me foundation stick

When I picked this product up I thought I bought a concealer because of the packaging! But this is a stick foundation which works out perfect because I only use it in areas where I need some coverage and it works so well. I wouldn't recommend this if you have dry skin, I had a dryish forehead this week and this did not look good on that area but I don't usually cover that area it was just for testing purposes.

I like that it stays true to the "Shine-free" claim that is on the packaging, it is a very matte yet not at all cakey finish.

This retails for about $5.65 CAN and this is the amount of product that it comes with.

The consistency is very creamy and smooth, feels amazing on skin. It blends out very easily , I just use my hands for that.

I think that this is the lightest or next to lightest colors but they do offer a great selection of shades which is always really nice.

What's in my travel makeup bag?

When I go back to my parents place even for a week this is all I end up bringing with me in my make up bag! I use this one from the brand Trina and retailed for about $45 but I got it for maybe $25 from SoxBox. I like the size as well, it isn't too big or too small.

I don't bring much compared to the amount of stuff I use daily at my apartment but I feel like if I am home with my parents I am on "vacation" and don't need makeup or if I do I am just going to apply the minimal amount!

I really wanted one that included a hook at the top so I can hang it up behind bathroom doors and that way it is not in anyone's way. I also like that the first compartment can come off but the bottom one doesn't, there is also the top compartment where I keep my little travel brush and hair spray.

In the first pocket I have my new power that I got while down here and my old MAC one that is just about finished. Then I have my Lash Blast mascara, tweezerman tweezers and deo.

In the second pocket I have a face brush and eyeshadow brush from ecotools, my Avon eyebrow kit, my moisturizer, my new Fit Me foundation (review up soon!) and MAC's naked lunch eyeshadow. Oh and my under eye concealer that is very very much loved as you can see!

These guys I keep in the first zippered compartment. It's a 10 hair spray and my mini travel hair brush. I got the hair brush from Avon and it is great because the back of it is a mirror!

Product Reveiw: Physicians Formula matchmaker powder

This is my first time trying anything from this brand , with Target now available in Canada we now have easy access to a lot of the brand that used to just be available within the states.  I have always heard great things about Physicians Formula and was in the need of trying a new face powder.

I find the packaging is quite heavy, not a hugs fan of that. I feel like they could of left out the bottom compartment that has the brush it comes with to make it more compact. I found this on sale for $9.35 which is a great price for the amount of product in the compact.

The powder is really soft and velvet like. There was an over spray of glitter on the balls that pop out but I just swept it all off with the brush.

I've stuck to MAC's studio fix powder for the past year and this product is something completely different. I find that their color variations are much better and work more towards matching your skin tone.

I didn't know that the mirror had the option of turning these two lights on until I opened the package. I really like this feature, not something you find in every face powder.

I got the lightest color out of the color range because I am pretty fair skinned and I find that it matches my skin very nicely.

Going out outfit ideas 2014

Here are two outfit ideas for going out that I am in love with. I like to keep things simple with an interesting dress so that no accessories are required, nice shoes paired with a simple clutch or small purse.

Outfit #1:

Tied Crochet Dress from Nasty Gal
www.nastygal.com $71.02
The detail crochet around the neckline is amazing and I love the tie in the back of the dress, all I would pair with this would be rings or a simple bracelet.

Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C
www.rebeccaminoff.com $195
Always a go to brand for going out , I love that the Mini Mac is small enough to use as a clutch but you can also wear it with the shoulder strap.

Cleophilia booties from Aldo
www.aldoshoes.com On sale for $55.99
I would probably wear tights as well since it is so cold out! I think these boots are nice and simple and pull the outfit together.

Outfit #2:

Touch of Glam Skater Dress from Forever 21
www.forever21.com $21.80
Skater style dresses are my favorite at the moment and I think they flatter most any body shape. I love how this one is more dressed up than the usual casual style.

BCBGeneration 'Hilarie' Peep Toe Bootie from Nordstrom
www.nordstrom.com $144.55

Coach 'Small' Leather Wristlet from Nordstrom
www.nordstrom.com $65

I have also been loving pairing high waisted skirts with dressed up tops, here are two of my favorite outfits from over the holidays;
