I've been part of a gym for almost 9 months now so my routine is pretty solid , my efforts are still gradually showing on my physical appearance but to me that is not what is important here. I started going to the gym to feel better. I have made amazing new friends there that share the same goals I do. What I am going to be writing in these "Diary posts" are going to vary from what works for me in the gym, motivation, tips, anything that I can think of that could help others start to think that joining a gym is a really great decision.
So for today I am going to talk about what my work out consists of on a weekly basis.
Monday- Shoulders
Tuesday-Legs + abs
Wednesday- Chest
Thursday- Day off
Friday- Back
Saturday- Variation of things mostly arms + abs
Sunday - Day off
Before going to the gym I try and eat something that will really satisfy my hunger level, and if I need an extra kick I will drink some coffee before heading out because I work out at night between 9-12 pm. After a day of work that is always a little boost of motivation for myself. I bike to the gym in the summer which is great!
I always bring:
Gloves
Water bottle
IPod/ Headphones
And sometimes other wraps depending on what I will be doing.
I go with someone who I consider my best friend first and my trainer second, we always have a good laugh and end up goofing around when everyone else in the gym looks super serious we get everyone else in a good mood !
I think that is it for today's post. I will go more into detail with what types of exercises I do on each day and maybe upload some pics of my progress !
